How Google Detects Invalid Click In AdSense ?
If your thinking to cheat Google and click your own ads, then stop it right now.
Google has some powerful methods to found out that you were the one that clicked those ads.
Here are some detection methods used by Google, each and every one of this methods alone is breakable, but combining them together make it almost impossible to cheat Google.
Lets start with basics.
Basic methods:
IP Address
If a click on an AdSense came from the same IP you logged to your account, your account will be flagged.
Flagging your account does mean you are going to be banned, it’s just meaning that Google have found something that may or may not worth checking.
Cookies Files
IP address may be shared with some surfers, and if you are using a cable connection your all block may be using the same IP address. On the other hand your IP is changing every time you disconnect from your Internet supplier.
So, in order to find out if this is the computer you were logging from to your account on Google, Google is setting a cookie file on that specific computer.
Cookies on other Google Services
Google is using their variety of services in order to collect as much information on you as they can.
So don’t thing that if you are not logging to your AdSense account from that specific computer you are safe.
Those were some basic methods that you could probably guess for yourself, now let go to some advanced methods.
Clicking Patterns:
Click Pattern 1
One IP / computer / person click only on ads on specific website but never on other websites.
Click Pattern 2
People that clicked on the ads always getting to this site with the direct URL address and not through a search engine or a link.
Click Pattern 3
The clickers only click on ads in the site, but not surfing it, they are eager to run out that site.
Other methods:
Very high Click-Through-Rate (CTR)
CTR that above 10% causing your AdSense account to be flag.
Geo-Location
Too much clicks from very specific location can get you banned right away.
Search Engine Ranking
Your web site is not on any search engine but its getting high traffic and high number of clicks.
Asking to click on your ads
Putting a phrase like “Click here” or “Support us” will caused your AdSense account to be canceled.
Some webmasters may found few other methods that Google is using.
Google will not reveal their specific methods, the above methods are just common sense, and probably there are more that we haven’t covered here.
So, don’t try to cheat Google AdSense it’s not worth it.
