Wrong Allow Site List Configuration = No Income
Google has done a great job in building the AdSense control panel. But sometimes because of the many features that this control panel have, publishers that just doing their first steps in AdSense tend to miss something.
One of the most common mistake the new publishers do, is not adding the site which they are inserting their AdSense code in to the allow site list.
What Allowed Site List ?
Google added the Allowed Sites to their control panel, in order to help us control who can use our publishers ID.
You can found the “Allowed Sites” option inside your AdSense control panel under “AdSense setup” Tab.
There are 2 options that we can choose from, the first one allow any website to use our publishers ID, so every every website that insert an AdSense code with our publishers ID will earn us some clicks.
The second option allow only to website that are listed in the allow list to use our AdSense publisher ID.
Many publisher are afraid that their publisher ID will be used in illegal websites and that option can solve that problem.
Now for the most important part:
If second option is selected and you add you AdSense ads to a site that does not listed in the allowed site, ads will still be displayed by no impression will counted and that mean no money.
Beware from this mistake that many new publishers do, even if you add you site to list, you will be credited for the previous impressions.
Google noticed this mistake made by new publishers and set for any new account the first option as the default one, but if you change it remember to add every website that your AdSense ads should display on.
