Clickthrough Rate - CTR

Posted by Motti 28 January, 2008

CTR is the initials of Click Through Rate is a well know terms in all online advertising programs.

CTR in measured by percents (%) and it’s calculated by dividing the number of click your ad has been  received by the number of times the add unit has been shown (the number of time an ad unit has been shown is also the number of impressions)

The CTR value appears in all Google AdSense reports.

High CTR means your ad unit is placed and design correctly.

If you are getting a low CTR you can look at two posts I wrote about improving your click thorough rate.

One post talks about the influence of a good design of an AdSense unit on the CTR and the other about a great tip that will defiantly help you, just read them.

Remember that you will need high traffic in order that that CTR will reflect the true results .
